Faith Week

In the wake of last week's tragedy in Connecticut, I'm left with a sad and heavy heart.  It shook me to the core, and I have to admit, I spent much of this past weekend scouring the news on my phone, looking for any information that might shed light on such a senseless act.  But tonight I stopped.

I realized that as a parent with a toddler who has absolutely no idea what happened, the best thing I can do is to teach her about faith.  Faith in God, faith in love and kindness.  Faith in humanity.  How to be open-minded and empathetic.  The best gift my mom gave me was faith.  She taught me to how to nourish my own relationship with God by example--nothing forced.

On the eve of Christmas, what better time to highlight the concept of faith.

Little Mama and I will be talking about the true meaning of Christmas.  All religions, all beliefs welcome.  It's time to pray for peace on earth and goodwill to all.
